Oxford Union: debate great success

toffs.jpgFollowing angry scenes at the Oxford Union last night, as Holocaust denier David Irving and BNP leader Nick Griffin arrived to address the Prestigious Institution That Contains Our Leaders of Tomorrow, everybody agreed that the entire event had been a "great success."

"Basically, it went off like a dream," said a spokesman. "The President got his mug on the telly and will be guaranteed a senior position in whichever party's in power when he graduates, Irving and Griffin got loads of publicity and will be basking in the reflected glory of this one for a while, and various posh students got to play at being angry protesters for a day and shout rude words down megaphones."

"It's these sort of scenes that inspired Voltaire," said another insider.
