Miliband: master of the double entendre?
An otherwise unremarkable Foreign Office Questions was livened up briefly by Miliband the Younger's response to a question as to whether the FCO anticipated Musharraf would still be in power in a few weeks hence.
Miliband gravely informed the Chamber that he felt it unwise to speculate on the future careers of politicians.
[Pause]
Everybody ruminated for a moment on the Chancellor's week from hell, the ongoing Northern Rock trauma, the rumours that the Treasury's address book has been lost in the post - possibly even now in the hands of Bad People, and the general carnage predicted for Darling's surprise statement this afternoon ... and then started laughing.
