One time Prime Ministerial hopeful Michael Meacher had this to say on the Gord's policies with regard to housing announced yesterday:

It’s good that after two decades of neglect of social housing amidst the triumphalist ideology of private ownership, the national scandal of housing need is now at least being noticed.

"Triumphalist ideology of private ownership," eh? Would this be the Michael Meacher who, during the leadership election, had fewer nominations than he did houses?
