BONG! In the debate on the Queen's Speech today, attention was turned to (amongst other things) new-build housing. The Tories were all: what do we want? Lots of new housing! Where do we want it? Nowhere near my million pound pad thank you very much!

BONG! The inter-party slapping over who had the Damascene revelation over reform of inheritance tax continues apace.

BONG! Roll up, roll up! Another TV channel has been launched! Does it show old episodes of Simpsons and the Hollyoaks omnibus? No. But it does have lots of David Cameron. Oh good.

BONG! Elections in Pakistan will go ahead, vows Musharraf.

BONG! It may be puerile. But it's funny.

BONG! Sir Ian Blair still under fire.
