Don't Look Ethel!
Good interventions, bad interventions
Now that PMQs is done with, Gord's week from hell is all over bar the shouting and the hacks have repaired to the boozer bustled off to write their analyses.
Even the Tories seem to have jibbed it. It's Opposition Day and they've chosen motions on not hugging Home Information Packs or something. That'll do nothing to stave off the encroaching narcolepsy.
Still, since there's nothing else on, may Westmonster leave you with this thought: is anybody else perplexed by the juxtaposition of the protesters on Parliament Square? Brian Haw's "YOU'RE ALL BLOOD SUCKING BABY MURDERERS!" protest is right next to a protest effectively calling Brown a blood sucking baby murderer because he hasn't done anything about Burma.
Why does everybody get so bomb-happily indignant about foreign climes in which Blighty doesn't have soldiers, and all "you lot are evil scum" on the ass of the Government over countries that do?

I think you need to study the effects of Depleted Uranium munitions to understand why our involvement there is so wrong. Despite the dodgy dossier, illegality of the war etc.
As for Brian Haw, he should have been on the Pride of Britain awards last night. Name an MP who has been so dedicated to his as he has? I can't.
