Fisking the Minority Report

The Science and Technology Committee has completed its report on abortion and has rejected calls to reduce the legal limit from 24 weeks.

You see, the clue's in the name, people. It's the Science and Technology Committee, not the Moral Committee for the Proliferation of My Personally Held View Which I Demand Assumes the Authority of Holy Writ Committee.

Had it been called this, maybe the "minority report" issued by two disgruntled Members of the group would have had slightly more of an impact beyond a thorough and satisfying fisking from the gentleman who writes the Bad Science column, both here and here.
