Having suffered a brief bout of socialist guilt as to whether pointing and laughing at loons commenting on a Telegraph article (subject: The Gays) was akin to pitching up at Hanwell asylum in the 1890s to taunt the inmates, Westmonster has now moved on and got her prodding stick at the ready.
Our subject today is a piece entitled "Christian foster parents condemn 'gay' laws," and when the Telegraph uses that word you can guarantee they're not talking about Enid Blyton-style jolly japes with lashings of ginger beer. No sir:
This is political correctness gone mad. The vast majority of people in this country have nothing against homosexuals but it should stay in the privacy of one's home, not promoted to young children!
Apparently the Government are forcing foster parents to "promote" homosexuality. It's well known that Local Government Guidance Notice 2938742/B has a clause in it that compels all fathers to spend at least four hours a day in a pink silk shirt unbuttoned to the chest, wear a large golden medallion and say things like "I am the only gay in the village."
In any case homosexuality is destined to virtually disappear. Assuming it's genetically based - and the latest research strongly indicates that it is - it will soon be detectable in the womb, and 99% of parents will choose for it to be corrected by genetic therapy, or, until that is possible, will simply elect for an abortion. It will be just as ethically justifiable as electing for an abortion because the mother and father would rather save the money for a new car or a holiday - which is already a common reason. Yup, abortion is bad and feckless folks. Unless you're aborting one of those gays, in which case go ahead and then treat yourself to a cruise. You've earned it!
Seems OK to offer foster kids a different option if they turn out to be gay, but I don't think gay support groups are necessary. Did Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci ever go to a gay support group?
Compelling question for the day. Anybody know if they had meetings of Homosexual Anonymous during the Renaissance?
