News from Cameron's Conservatives

The Times has a story about "Handy Andy" Pelling, whose recent alleged antics have failed to impress the Tory high command.

According to the article, the Conservative leadership has distanced itself from the MP, presumably with the intention of sending a signal to the local party that it would Not Be A Good Idea to reselect him to defend his 300 majority.

In other news, it looks like the Boy David might have a fight on his hands regarding his desire to impose A-List candidates on local associations if Gord goes nuclear and announces an election at 2.15pm.

Yeah.

Coz crow-barring in a collection of shiny berks in suits, who have been members of the party for about five minutes, has had loadsa notable successes as a strategy thus far.

Nevertheless, in light of Pellingate, Westmonster wonders whether interviewees for the A-List will be asked the age old question: when did you stop beating your wife?
