While You Were Sleeping
Dave to Gord: "Go ahead, make my day."
- Cameron is all "bring it on Gordon!" this morning, claiming he would welcome an early election. If yesterday's polling is to be believed, this would indicate he's either mad, delusional, a combination of both or in a position where he can't squeal: "for the love of God, no!" which is probably his true feeling on the subject.
- It's not all bad news for Little Lord Fauntleroy though: the Ipsos/Mori poll in the Observer has some comforting news about how the post-conference Brown bounce might have been over-stated. Well, it's kind of good news.
- Quite a cute article over at Ambitious Young Bag-Carrier Central from a Simon Morley on how Gord should go to the country in the spring, allowing for a period of "intensive debate" within the party and the country on all aspects of policy. Aw, bless.
- Observer article on how citizens' juries are a load of balls. What a surprise.
- Hats off to the stoicism of Chris Paul who might be the only person in the country to write about one of the very many lists to come from the direction of Iain Dale recently.
- Cameron's advisor on community cohesion plunges into territory upon which angels fear to tread at the best of times. So why she chose to go blundering across this particular minefield on the eve of party conference is a mystery to everyone here at Westmonster.
