  • Westmonster is currently watching the bloke from YouGov trying to explain to whichever fruity blonde is doing the morning slot on News 24 that the results from yesterday's council by-elections cannot be extrapolated to give the Tories a lead, should a general election be called tomorrow. The poor pollster has tried three times to get it over that even these results are better for Labour than the ones that were coming in the pre-2005 election period, that the voting psychology differs in locals and generals, but she just ain't getting it. • Dizzy on how the Brown bunker got their knickers in a twist over the front page on yesterday's Times.
  • Iain Dale's Telegraph article on the massacre challenges Dave faces at Tory Party Conference.
  • David Miliband reckons that the greatest threat to global equality is climate change. Last year poverty was the greatest threat to global equality. Next year? Let's wait and see what everyone chooses to wear wristbands and congregate in a field for before we make that call, folks.
  • The Telegraph invites its readers to insert the stilletto into Bojo's fledgling mayoralty campaign.
