Tory defector Quentin Davies (pictured) has just drawn a small crowd around the TV as he delivered a resounding bitch-slap to former boss David Cameron.

Party members looked like they were undecided as to what facial expression it was appropriate to wear as Quentin - clearly prepared to have a stiff drink and a shower as soon as he left the podium - attempted to get down wiv da comrades.

There was a sense that there was something very odd about Davies (who looks like a Tory if anybody ever did) getting all moist about the minimum wage and working family tax credits.

"He'll be in the Cabinet next week, after delivering that speech," commented a backbench MP, a thought that sent him in the direction of a stiff drink himself.
